Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 7 1/2 by 3 3/4-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  2. With a fork, break the turkey meat into chunks in a bowl. Add egg, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, celery, red onion, bread crumbs, thyme, rosemary, marjoram, seasoned salt, and black pepper; mix thoroughly with hands. Gently pat the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, leaving a small space between the meat mixture and the sides of the pan. Spread chili sauce over the meat loaf.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until the juices run clear and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the loaf reads 160 degrees F/70 degrees C, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

I made this exactly as the recipe states - the only change I made was to top it with barbecue sauce, because I'm out of chili sauce. I liked the vegetables in it, I'll definitely do that again. I would probably add a bit more salt, but other than that it's a good recipe. Thanks for sharing!

I had some of my sons' friends over for dinner the night I made this. It disappeared in minutes! I added some shredded carrot, and changed the chili sauce to bbq, as I didn't know how spicy our young guests liked. My kids request it all the time now. The more veggies I can sneak in the better!
