We have always made a similar salad. I blanch the veggies and add fresh grated parmesan cheese for extra flavor. If you buy a bag of the Eat Smart - pre-cut vegetable mix, it saves even more time!

This was my first attempt at tortellini salad for a party, and everyone raved about it! A few guests asked for the recipe, and I was embarrassed b/c it was so easy! I also did not measure and left out the hot sauce. It was still perfect and even better days later as left-overs!

Great recipe! Like another reviewer, I didn't measure either. You do have to use a ton more italian dressing as the tortellini soaks everything up. I also added chunks of mozz cheese and pepperoni. I have received multiple rquests to make this for picnics.

This is so good!! I used whole wheat tortellini and a powdered italian dressing mix (low oil version, zesty blend). Thanks for such a good post!

Easy & tasty. This is a nice salad because you don't need to measure. I easily used 3 times as much tortellini as it called for. Used Newman's Restaurant Recipe Italian dressing.
