You know that you 've eaten a grape when you 've had a Concord grape. That robust flavor makes this wonderful and unusual pie a taste treat. You will have to peel each grape, but the delicious results are well worth the effort.

The flavor of this delicious pie changes with the type of grape you use, so choose your favorite or try concord grapes. The grape pulp is first cooked on the stove before it 's combined with sugar, flour and melted butter. Then this lovely filling is poured into an unbaked pie shell, covered with a lattice top, and baked until bubbly and brown. It 's perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

You get twice the apple goodness with this recipe. Golden Delicious apples are sliced and cooked in a pan with apple juice, butter and sugar until tender. A bit of cornstarch is added to thicken it. Then the filling is poured into the bottom crust, covered with the top crust, and baked until golden brown.
