11-3-11: Surprisingly, this was pretty good, used Aunt Jemima pancake mix, had to add more mix than indicated.

This just had a weird texture. I think it was the green beans. It also didn't have much flavor, even though I added seasoning to it. It was okay, but not good enough to make again.

Based on what we had in the house and my personal preference, I used red peppers instead of green and used Roma tomatoes instead of plum. I also opted for fresh green beans. We added onions (highly recommend), minced garlic, some garlic powder, basil, and thyme, to add more flavor. I agree that it turned out more "eggy" than I expected, but it was tasty and got compliments around the table. I ate leftovers for breakfast and it was quite tasty reheated. NOTE: Increase prep time from 10 to 30-45 minutes depending on your cooking experience level, how many veggies you're adding, and whether you're hand-chopping or using pre-chopped.

I added Herbs de Provance, salt & garlic powder to the veggie layers (didn't salt the biscuit mix, only cayenne there). Made with veggies I had (broc, mushroom, zucchini, tomatoes). I thought this would be good, but it was really much better than I'd anticipated. Light and tasty - even non-vegetarian hubby raved. Will make again, definitely.

This is a great recipe to get your little kids to eat all of their veggies! I used Jiffy pancake mix instead of baking mix since it has a lot more flavor. I also added some garlic powder, italian seasoning, and onions to the mix...everyone loved it (even my picky eater)

I had HIGH hopes for this recipe, BUT - it was VERY VERY bland. I added garlic powder (as someone else suggested)but this was not enough. It looked BEAUTIFUL and rustic, maybe with more tweaking I'd try it again.

I just pulled some of this out of the freezer and had a little taste of fresh veggies from last summer. I had added a little hot pepper to it for some more kick. Very good and filling.

We really liked it, but mine came out kind of eggy, like a quiche almost. I don't know if I didn't mix the wet ingredients well enough or what. I also added chopped chicken breast to mine. Everyone loved it!

This dish is really good as per recipe and very pretty. Next time I make this I will incorportate different veggies and season a little better, but overall a wonderful side dish that can easily be scaled down.
