Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup baking mix
  • 1/3 cup cold water
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  •  
  • Toppings:
  • Sour cream
  • Shredded lettuce
  • RED GOLD® DICED TOMATOES or REDPACK® DICED TOMATOES in JUICE

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish. In a skillet cook ground beef and taco seasoning according to package directions.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine baking mix and cold water. Mix until soft dough forms; spread in prepared baking dish. Spread beef mixture over dough.
  3. Bake, uncovered, 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean; do not over bake. Sprinkle with cheese and let stand 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Cut into 6 equal pieces and serve with toppings.
