This was AMAZING! Everyone loved it. I was a little put off by the thought of cooking it in cola, but I was so pleasantly surprised. I've always tried and failed miserably to make roast like my grandma's - I finally did it!

I was disappointed by this recipe after reading all those great reviews. It was just so-so. The cola makes this pot roast very sweet.

This recipe is delish! I don't use the celery or brown gravy, but I love the flavor! I always put the potatoes and carrots on the very bottom to keep them immersed in liquid. Yum, yum!

I thought this was good, but I thought it was a bit bland which surprises me because dry onion soup mix is usually pretty overpowering in most recipes. Overall, we did enjoy it and will more than likely make it again. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful recipe. Made it and it was gone in one day. It makes a nice thick gravy too.

I have made this twice, once with a good sirloin roast, the other time with a tougher cut roast and they both turned out excellent. The sirloin roast was tender much sooner then the recommended cooking time so I shortened it. The tougher cut needed the full 5 hours and turned out tender and delicious. My family and guests loved it!

This was incredible! I seared the roast first with cajun spices and garlic rubbed into it. I didn't have any cream of mushroom soup so I used cream of broccoli instead- I know it sounds strange, but we love broccoli. Instead of water I used Dale's liquid seasoning. Everything else I followed to the letter. Let me tell you, it was the best roast I've ever cooked, and I've cooked A LOT of them! A premium recipe that deserves top honors!

This was very very good. Took the suggestions of seasoning the meat with salt, pepper and garlic powder before placing in roaster. Doubled the gravy ingredients and served with mashed potatoes - YUM.

I made this the other night for dinner and it was delicious. I omitted the veggies, and put the roast in the crock pot and poured the sauce over it. I let it cook all day and then put it over rice. It was so rich and a great meal with little effort. The gravy has a great rich flavor. Will definitly make again.

This was excellent! I had a small, 2 pd, boneless chuck roast, so I just adjusted the cooking time. I used 1 can of condensed cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic instead of regular cream of mushroom. I also rubbed the meat with the minced garlic. Next time, I will use 1/2 can of beef broth (undiluted) in place of the 2 tablespoons water & I will add some small potatoes. I can't wait to serve this to company.
