This was really great! My husband is very finnicky and I didn't tell him about the cols until he had already agreed that it was delicious. I was afraid it wouldbe overly sweet, but it wasn't - and the gravy was..YUM!

Moist and delicious. I threw everything in a crockpot and cooked on low setting for 8 hours. It came out perfectly!

My husband and I liked this recipe. We did make some changes. We added a quartered cut onion, and fresh mushrooms. I did use onion mushroom dry soup, and mushroom brown gravy. We had this over mashed potatoes! I also salt and peppered the meat on both sides. I also added 3 cloves of garlic instead of 1. Very yummy! I would recommend this recipe again!

Who would have thought that pouring a can of pop (I used pepsi) would make such tender pot roast. I cooked in the slow cooker on low for 8 hours. The only thing I will change for next time is that I think I will add a few more spices as it didn't have enough flavor for me. Hubby had me pack the leftovers for him to take to work to share with his buddies the next day. That tells me this one is a keeper.

This roast was ok. I made it in a slow cooker and the meat was so tender you could cut it with a fork. I just wasn't all that crazy on the taste. It was, for lack of a better expression, weird. I'm going to keep looking for another recipe.

This was excellent!!! I would make this for company. Only made minor changes, no celery, extra garlic of course, and used roasted garlic and onion soup mix. Also, made my whipped mashed potatoes alongside, it was yummy!! Now what to do with the leftovers, I made enough food for an army, and we are but two!!!!

I loved this recipe!! I am a "little of this, little of that" kind of cook so of course, I added my own touch. First, I read what others had to say and some mentioned a lack of flavor. So, I used beefy onion soup instead and also added 1/2 can of beef broth. I wanted more of a traditional pot roast so I added diced potatoes and one can of corn I also cooked this all day in a crock pot for 7-8 hours; the first two hours were on high and then I put the setting on low until the meat fell apart. (With the cook time being so long I receommned adding the potatoes half way though and the corn during the last hour)You may need to double the recipe if you add potatoes like I did. Enjoy!

This was very VERY good! Even my 3 picky eaters snarfed it up! I didn't have any brown gravy mix but did have the jar mix in pork and figured it couldn't make that big of a difference and it was yummy! My hubby said it was salty but anytime you use that onion soup mix that will happen. I will for sure make this again but go easier on the mix. Thanks for sharing!!

Delicious! My husband and family were surprised at how tender the meat became. Words of advice: 1) Never tell anyone what is in it 2) Use a little less cola than they suggest (it is a little too sweet when you put the entire amount in) and 3) sear your meat first to lock in the juices. Try this and you will never go back!

This is a great pot roast recipe. Definetely requires more work and ingredients than some, but worth it when you have the time.

This is an amazing recipe! I have tried to make a good roast several times but with no luck. This roast turned out to be extremly moist and fall-apart tender. YUMMY!! The gravy is super flaverful. I followed recipe to a T. Will defenetly make again & again

Very good. I did make this is the crockpot and made gravy with the juice on the stovetop before serving. I usually make a similar recipe that omits the cream of mushroom soup and dry gravy and instead uses a bottle of chili sauce with the cola. Slightly sweeter but this was very good also.

This pot roast was so good! My whole family just loved it. I think I may a couple of chopped up potatoes next time just to see how they cook up, but other than that I wouldn't change a thing.

Excellent recipe and easy to make! I omitted the celery and carrots and used 3 whole garlic cloves, rather then minced and used a little red wine. I place all ingredients in the crockpot on low overnight! My roast was still a little frozen in the middle and this turned out perfectly! It was falling apart this morning while I was cutting it! I couldn't taste any of the cola.
