I gave this a 4 star. I tried this on chicken. I made the sauce and marinated it for 2 hours and then grilled it. When I read the reviews it said it was grillable. But I found it was not so. First the skin of the chicken got really chared and that was because of the sugar. I'm going to try this on pork chops and bake it, I suppose that is what I should have done with the chicken. Next time I will know better.

My kids loved the chops! I used a few suggestions from other reviewers that I found helpful. I seasoned the chops with slat, pepper and garlic powder and then dredged them in flour and browned them in oil. I placed these in my crockpot and covered with 1 cup cola, 2 Tbsp. brown sugar, and 1/4 cup ketchup and 3/4 cup beef broth. This was a necessity since I ran out of ketchup. I then place some sliced onions on top and cooked on low for about 7 hours. They turned out great! Thanks for a great recipe!

My husband isn't big on ketchup, so I used barbecue sauce in its place 1/2 cup, and 1/4cup A-1 sauce. Other than that, it was ok, but not as good as I had anticipated.

I used with a pork roast, slow cooked for 8 hours while at work. Shredded it and had a delicious pulled pork sandwich. WIll try also as written. Nice and easy recipe, few ingredients. A keeper for my busy lifestyle!

A good "novelty" recipe. Do be careful with cooking times if you are using a thinner chop.

We just didn't find anything special about this recipe. The meat turned out tender, but the sauce was a touch sweet with nothing to offset it.

Recipe was easy and enjoyed by my family, however found that adding some garlic granules enhanced the flavor. My English husband was quite suprised by the ingriedients.

these were great! I changed it from the other reviews by 1/2 cup BBQ 1/2 cup ketchup then floured ( a little flour salt, pepper & garlic powder) and seared them before baking they were incredible and very easy. My family loved them will DEFINITLY make again and again

A keeper! I did flour/season the chops then brown lightly before baking. Stayed exactly with the recipe after that. I cannot imagine this recipe without the added texture and thickness of them being floured & browned beforehand. That said, excellent sauce--really tender chops, and they re-heat beautifully in the microwave next day. A definite keeper!

Good recipe but made a few changes. I needed a lower sugar content so I used half regular ketchup and half low-sugar ketchup, half Coke & half Coke Zero and added about 1-2 tsp Lee & Perrins. My husband loved it & couldn't tell the difference which was what I was after. Definitely a keeper.

Thanks for an easy and yummy pork chop recipe. I had all the ingredients on hand, and it was super quick to make. I did brown the pork chops in a bit of flour and seasonings as others suggested as I decided to try this at the last minute and wanted to cut down on the baking time. My two young daughters (4 and 2) gobbled this up with rice.

This turned out great. I floured and browned the pork chops first and sprinkled with garlic salt and onion powder, like suggested. I also added onions to the sauce. The kids loved it! I will make it again!

I have been using this recipe for years. This sauce works well with diet coke/pepsi also. It works well on any kinds of meat. Works well in the oven or grilling. I suggest using it as a marinade if planning to grill. Let marinate for at least and hour.

My mother used to make this from a recipe book that she picked up at a garage sale once called Cooking With Coca-Cola. She lost the biik 12 years ago when she moved so when I saw the recipe I was so excited. My mom used it on ribs, chicken, pork chops and any thing else she could think of in the book it was called Cola Barbeque, thank you for posting this wonderful recipe I can get my five year old to start eating meat again.

this is the same recipe we use for those premade meatballs in the crockpot for Christmas or Showers. It works perfectly, and people love it.Just dump the ingredients over top a bagful of premade meatballs in the crockpot and leave on all day. Yummm.
