Coffee Flavored Liqueur I

"Vodka is flavored with coffee and vanilla, then sweetened with brown sugar. Excellent for sipping, and makes a nice gift!"

Original Recipe Yield 32 (3 ounce) servings
 

Ingredients

  • 4 cups brown sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup instant coffee granules
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (750 milliliter) bottle vodka

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, water and instant coffee. Bring to a boil, then let simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat, and cool completely.
  2. When coffee mixture is completely cool, stir in vanilla and vodka. Pour into dark colored bottles, and store in the refrigerator.
