These are really good cookies, but they are not much different than your typical chocolate chip cookie. However, I did change it just a little. I didn't put walnuts in because my boys don't like them, and I didn't put the kisses on the top because I didn't have any. I'm not sure I would have added it if I did. All in all though, these are really good soft, chewy chocolate-y cookies.

These cookies turned out pretty good. I did double the amount of instant coffee because I wanted the coffee flavor to stand out, and it seemed to me like a perfect amount. I did not add any nuts. Other than these two changes, I followed recipe exactly. They did flatten quite a bit, which was disappointing, but maybe it was because I made them a bit bigger than a tablespoon. They also did not stay fresh very long - by second day they were pretty hard. Overall, these cookies were really good though, and I would make again.

These were so delicious! There's just a hint of the coffee flavor. It's best to put the cookies on the sheet in the shape of a ball so when they come out you have room to push the chocolate kiss in.
