WOW! This cake was a hit. I was worried because it seemed like a lot of liquid to load on the top of the cake. But, it is exceptional. I didn't have cream of coconut, so I used Pina Colato mix instead.. it was delicious..next time I might add the rum to it too!

I accidentally bought coconut mike instead of coconut cream and I actually liked it better. It wasn't as heavy as the cream! I added a bit of coconut to the cake batter before baking too. Toasting the coconut on top is a nice touch.

It really surprised me how much I didn't like this cake. First, it was way too sweet for my tastes and second, it tasted like preservatives. I realize that the base is a box cake, but maybe if not everything came out of a can/box/tub it would taste better? I would imagine that homemade whipped cream would have made a positive difference.

I must admit I was a little nervous when I poured the coconut milk on the cake, but it later thickened up. I made this for Easter dinner, and it was a hit! This was extremely easy to make.

Wow!!!! This cake was amazing. I didn't think the cake was soggy at all, and I used all of the cream of coconut and sweetened condensed milk. It was a perfectly moist and tasty cake. It was even great the next day. Will DEFINITELY make again and again!!

I made this for a pre-Aruba vacation party and everyone loved it! I made it exactly as was written. This is a nice alternative to the Better Than S** cake that everyone also loves.

I was so looking forward to trying this recipe, but i was totally disappointed it was nothing like i imagined!! It seemed so simple but my family did not like it at all!! I made this using pineapple supreme cake mix as suggested from another review and then followed everything else as the recipe directed. It was fabulous!! This will definitely be one of my keepers! It tastes really good the next day with a big cold glass of milk too!! Thanks for a great comforting cake recipe!

This is an excellant and easy recipe. I substituted coconut supreme cake mix and also pineapple for the white cake and both were outstanding. The pineapple made it kind of a pina colada tasting cake. Everyone loves it!
