I just made a half batch of these to try them out - YUM! Perfectly soft, sweet squares with a bit of crunchy pecan. Will definitely make these again!

These bars are delicious! Instead of adding coconut and pecans to the dough, I baked the bars, then added canned coconut pecan icing! Yummy!

I bought these at a bake sale and asked for the recipe. She said no. So I am overjoyed to find these as they are so good. She put the peacns on top after the batter was spread out and did not use the powdered sugar. It made a nicer presentation that way. I will make them again for sure as they would be great for picnics or luncheons.

These are good warm from the oven. I halved the recipe and used wheat flour. Some cinnamon and nutmeg might be nice.
