THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!! I have been making these EVERY year at Christmas since I got the recipe in Home Ec in high school (I'm now 59, so it's been a LONG time), and left my recipe in AZ when I moved to the Pacific Northwest...I have been in mourning...These taste just like Mounds candy bars...they are a favorite with anybody who tries them! Besides shaping them into peaks, I also will just roll into small balls and dip the entire ball in the chocolate...SO YUMMY!!!

My mom made these every Christmas, and now my sisters and I make them. They are so easy, and so good! I hold them on a fork to dip them in the chocolate.

Great for coconut lovers like me :) Sweet and delicious. Very easy to make and I love that they aren't baked. Dipping in chocolate was the most difficult aspect as they fell apart a bit during the dipping process.

It just isn't Christmas without coconut peaks! My mom made these all my life and I've continued the tradition. She always used some green food coloring--I can't imagine them without that touch. My roommate in college dubbed them "Christmas trees standing in dirt." Aside from those who don't like coconut I can't imagine anyone not liking these.

I hate to give a bad review, but I thought these lacked flavor. Would not make again.

My mom has been making these since before I was born (I'm 29). She adds food coloring, either red or green, to add a festive Christmas touch. These are my favorite Christmas Cookie and they are delicious and simple. Now, my first Christmas without my family, spent in Africa with the Peace Corps, I'm making these for my African friends. Delicious!!

My mom has been making this same recipe since 1965! Well worth the time and effort to make these gems.

These were very well liked by coconut lovers and are super easy to make. The browned butter is a nice flavor in these. My butter took much longer than 5 minutes to brown. Also, be aware that there is a very small window between browned butter and burned butter! Watch carefully after the foam subsides, and swirl the pan frequently. I will make these again.
