Original Recipe Yield 1 - 9 inch pie
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  2. Place pecans in bottom of pie shell.
  3. Combine melted butter, coconut, salt, water, flour, sugar, and slightly beaten eggs. Pour filling over pecans in crust.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool before serving.
