Super easy pie! I took advice from other posts and used Coconut flavored pudding, but I couldnt find instant pudding in the coconut flavor, so I got cook and serve and prepared it as the box stated in the microwave and then added 1/2 the whipped cream and the coconut. I was told by many people that this was the best coconut pie ever. I was amazed at how easy it was even without instant pudding. This recipe is a denfinate keeper. Thanks!!

Made this last night and it is AWESOME!! I am a huge coconut cream pie fan and this recipe was right on as far as flavor and very easy to make. Don't worry if you can't find coconut flavored pudding mix as others have recommended, I used vanilla and it had plenty of coconut flavor. Just make sure you use the sweetened coconut! Delicious!

This is awesome. So easy and delicious. I did use coconut flavored pudding mix instead of the vanilla; 2 3.5oz boxes was perfect and I toasted the cocunut for the topping. YUMMY! This will definitely be a keeper!

My partner and his daughter raved. I don't like coconut, but they both love it. Since I don't like it, I wanted it to be the easiest one to make! I used the coconut instant pudding like others suggested. "Top notch"

My husband made one request for dessert for Thanksgiving, and it was to make him a coconut cream pie. I used this recipe because it was so simple, though I used the coconut cream flavor pudding instead of vanilla, and I sprinkled walnuts on the top to make it look pretty. My husband loved it more than his mom's! Will be using this recipe for next Thanksgiving!

Very good! I used 2 small boxes vanilla pudding as that is what I had on hand. Next time I will use coconut flavored pudding. I increased the milk to 2 cups due to the extra pudding mix. I put in 2 full cups of coconut into the pudding and then toasted more coconut to put on top. I can see where some reviewers that didn't like coconut before liked this pie. It isn't strong coconut flavor, but it is good. I think with the coconut flavored pudding, it will be even better!

I absolutely love coconut cream pie, and I decided to make some while shopping with mom for Thanksgiving this weekend. It's cooling in the fridge, but I tried a small piece and it tastes amazing. Thanks for the recipe!

i have used this recipe time and time it is excellent! i use the coconut cream flavor instant pudding, and i also toast the coconut, you can also do a low calarie version, with coolwhip free, and sugar free vanilla with the coconut flavor added for an extra boost! This is my dads favorite!!

Oh my gosh, this was soooooooooo good! I was looking for a recipe that my 8 year old could make & this was a great choice. She was proud to have done it herself with only a little help from me on the sideline. Who would think that something with so few ingredients could turn out so well. We made the recipe just as described & it turned out perfect. Lots of coconut flavor.

This pie was fantastic! Most of my family wanted more cool whip with it because to them it tasted bland but I love it either way!

This was very easy and very good. I toasted the coconut in the oven at 325 until it was golden-brown, and I added 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract to the pudding mixture. Everyone liked it.

Mmmmm.... This was very good. It tasted like resturant quality and was very easy. I made this for fathers day and received a 5 from my dad! I suggest toasting the coconut and putting it on top. To do so spread coconut on baking sheet in a preheated oven at 350 for 4 minutes.
