Made this yesterday. This was really good. I used cool whip but may try making my own whipped cream next time and see if there's a difference. Will also increase bottom crust by 1/2 next time. Only real change I made was to add a small amount of coconut to the pudding before putting it on the cream cheese layer and then added additional chopped pecans to the top. Great recipe for a family gathering or potluck!!

A really delicious recipe. I didn't have time to thaw some frozen cool whip, nor did I want that "delicious" blend of sugar and wax in my dessert anyways, so I just whipped up my own fresh whipped cream - 12 oz of whipping cream with some powdered sugar and vanilla. Still delicious! (And less of an artificial/chemical flavor).

Made this for a large gathering. I only had 1/3 less fat cream cheese and 2% milk on hand so that's what I used. This was a hit and the dish was cleaned. I was amazed that it was so good without cooking the pudding! Thanks for the recipe and the reviews. This may well become my dessert for all pot luck gatherings (and I love to cook)!

5 stars as written and 10 with a few upgrades. For the crust I did 1 and 1/2 the desired amount-since i like a thicker crust. Instead of whipped topping I made my own(2cups heavy cream, 3/4 cup conf sugar with a squirt of vanilla.beat for 5 minutes until stiff peaks) added this to cream cheese..YUM. and instead of adding all milk to the pudding mix I did half milk and half heavy cream for a richer flavor..UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS! I then made another whipped cream recipe and topped with that. OH ME OH MY! Everyone wanted this recipe. Gone in seconds. Please make ASAP. The pudding mix was hard to find but it's out there.

Incredible recipe! The combination of the crust and creamy filling really compliment each other. I wouldn't change a thing about this recipe. I made this for my coconut loving father for Father's Day and it was a huge hit. I think people that aren't even huge fans of coconut will love this recipe as well. Very easy to make which is always a plus!

A big hit anywhere I've served this. It's easy to make and hard to ruin. The recipe is great as is. Sometimes I've made a graham cracker crust whem I haven't had the nuts - also good. When I can't find the instant coconut cream pudding, I use vanilla instant pudding and add 1/2 tsp. coconut extract. When making it for folks who are on restrictive diets, I use reduced fat cream cheese, lite whipped topping, and fat-free instant pudding made with skim milk.

This is a nice easy recipe. The crust is nutty and shortbread-like. I added a bit more cream cheese, otherwise I made it as stated and it came out well.

This dessert is wonderful. I made this for my mother who loves coconut cream pie. She said it was much better than pie. The crust was just right and added a wonderful taste to the dessert. This ones goes into the keep file.

These are great! And you can use walnuts in the crust to use a lemon filling with the cream cheese. Then top with crushed walnuts instead of coconut. My kids always love the choc and Pistacio versions as well. Always a big hit at work too.

I was cooking a dinner for 75 people and wanted an easy dessert. My partner said that this was not going to be good and he hates this type of dessert. It was the hit of the dinner, everyone, including my partner said it was wonderful. It is so easy to do and the results are great. If you need a good dessert in a hurry, do this one.

Good, simple recipe. I think the crust is so delicious. My family got dessert tonight, just from things I had on hand. Thanks for sharing.

Extremely easy to make and was a hit with the family. I will probably add more of the cream cheese mixture next time - just because I like cream cheese. I took the lazy way out this time & used pecans already "chopped" - which were big chunks so in the future I will chop nuts a little finer or buy the pecan pieces instead. This really was great - thanks!
