Coconut Chews

Original Recipe Yield 2 1/2 dozen cookies
 

Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 cups flaked coconut
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease cookie sheets.
  2. Mix together coconut, flour, salt, syrup and vanilla. Drop the dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes or until slightly firm. Remove the cookies from cookie sheet immediately and cool completely before eating.
