I used grape jelly instead of cranberry sauce (not a big fan) and it turned out great! Everyone at my New Years Eve party ate them!

I hate to admit this - but I used store bought meatballs, but the sauce from this recipe. Put it all in the slow cooker in the morning and they were perfect when the guests arrived. This will be my new meatball appetizer recipe - everyone loved it!

I'm a vegetarian, so I personally can't rate this, but judging by the face my husband ate 15 meatballs in one sitting, I'd say they were good!

doubled the recipe so I could use the whole can of cranberry and the whole jar of chili sauce. Used 1 1/2 bags frozen meatballs (38 oz bags) and baked them in oven while prepping sauce on stove in a saucepan cuz I was in a hurry. It Filled up crockpot about 3/4 of the way-it was perfect! Everyone Loved it! Only 2 meatballs left at end of night. One young man told another guest, "those meatballs are Bombalicious"! That was the best comment! And you couldn't even tell it was cranberry sauce in there.

Just made these today for New years! And Ive had to stop myself from eating all of them b4 guest get here! lol Ive made these last year It was pretty much the same except it asked for grape jelly. I dont think it matters which one you use. I just think the cranberry sauce is a tad sweeter.(did not add any sugar)Used frozen meatballs. And I also put them in the slow cooker for about 3 hours on low. Than its good all night on warm. I plan on making them every for every New years from now on so thank you for this recipe.

A terrific recipe! I added more seasonings to my meatballs - pepper, garlic and some worstershire. I served the meatballs with buttery mashed potatoes - use Yukon Gold. I will use this recipe again.

Be sure that the meatballs are very well seasoned. I thought they were a bit bland. not a total hit at the party. I prefer the grape jelly recipe.

These were a hit at our holiday party. I substituted the cornflake crumbs as suggested, and added the fresh chopped parsley. Delicious!

Served these @ 2008 Christmas Eve party. Someone else brought meatballs and these went first with many compliments. I doubled the recipe, used one packet of onion soup mix instead of the chpd onion. Made meatballs the night before. Heated and served in a crockpot the next day.

They are great. I did make a few changes only because i didn't have chili sauce. So i added ketchup and added Franks Hot sauce and hot chili powder. I added a lot more brown sugar too.

Chili sauce is usually found next to ketchup. Heinz is the only brand I've seen or used. It's in a round glass bottle. It's basically ketchup with a little extra spice, but definitely not anything like tabasco or hot sauce. If you had to substitute, you could use ketchup with extra onion and garlic added. Hope this helps!
