These went over really well. I actually used frozen appetizer meatballs to save a bit of prep, and added a chopped chili in adobo sauce to give a little kick to it.

Made these for Christmas 2 years in a row. Definatley will continue to be a staple for our Christmas Eve appetizers. They vanish in a hurry!

Very good! 100 times better after the sauce sits over night! I used the Heinz chili sauce (oh & this recipe is on the bottle label...) I tripled the recipe and used frozen meatballs from costco (didnt have the energy or prepare 4-6lbs of meatballs..) The first night they were good, my husband ate em right up but I was not at all impressed. This statement sums it up perfectly: "Word of warning - do NOT use the Italian meatballs! The flavors fight each other and the sauce is the loser" Needless to say I used italian meatballs BEFORE reading the review....the flavors just didnt blend & the sauce was WAY TOO SWEET!!! HOWEVER, after sitting overnight and reheating the next day 100 TIMES BETTER! The flavors of the sauce 'blended' together much better & produced a great flavor that no longer was sooo sweet. Will make again!

Very good. However I think I used the wrong 'chile sauce'. Mine was very hot. But everyone really liked them.

Made this recipe for New Year's Eve and it was a hit! I used frozen meatballs to cut down on prep time, I also omitted the lemon juice because I didn't have any on hand. Mixed cranberry sauce, brown sugar and a full bottle of chili sauce together, mixed in the frozen meatballs, then dumped the mixture into the crockpot, which I left in the fridge overnight until I put it on low to cook the next day. Turned out yummy!

Loved them. I didn't used a crockpot though and I used frozen meatballs. I put all ingredients (except meatballs) in a large saucepan until hot then turned down the heat, added the meatballs and simmered until done. Every last bite was gone. Will definitely make these again!

Loved them! I made homemade cranberry sauce (recipe from here I believe...12 oz cranberries, 1 cup orange juice--or 1/2 water 12 orange juice, 1 cup sugar, cook until berries pop, then mashed with potato masher) instead of the nasty canned stuff. Also, instead of chili sauce, I used ketchup with a splash of balsamic vinegar, 1 T garlic powder and 1 t minced onions because all the chili sauce options at my grocery store were chock full of high fructose corn syrup. Because my cranberry sauce comes out so thick, I added a cup of water to the simmering step. I also left out the brown sugar since I used brown sugar in my cranberry sauce. The meatballs turned out amazing! My mom, the best cook ever, loved them. Thank you to the recipe author for the inspiration!

I made these for our New Year's Eve party and everyone liked them. I used pre-cooked frozen meatballs. I don't eat meat so didn't try them myself, but the sauce was good! The cranberry sauce is a nice, tangy change from the grape jelly that you usually see in this type of recipe.

Delicious! Used frozen mini meatballs and a package of cocktail hot dogs. Needed to add a bit more of the sauce ingredients since I had so much meat. But YUMMY! Served for New Year's Eve--10 people devoured them in a couple hours.
