I used store bought meatballs and double the sauce ingredients, using 2 jard of chili sauce. I heated everything up in the crockpot. I made these for an 11 yr old's Bday, and the kids did not care for them (should have went with sweet n sour). I thought they were ok, the sauce was a little tangy, but mellowed out by the next day.

I made these for dinner for my family and they were superb! I accidentally put Extra Hot Chili sauce in and didn't notice until it was too late to fix it. The meatballs came out good but very spicy, but I could tell they would be 5 star worthy if I put in mild chili sauce. Thanks for sharing this tasty recipe!

AWESOME. Made this for a football party and they were a HIT. Only thing you might want to make a note of. DOUBLE or Triple the whole sauce recipe. I made 32 meatballs and needed more sauce to coat them nicely in. ( I cheated and used frozen meatballs)

Was way to spicy for my husband but had a nice zing for this chilli head. Very much depends on the type of chili sauce used. Used my own recipe for the meatballs, grilled them then crockpotted them in the sauce till ready to serve. I doubled the lemon juice and also added lime juice to try and temper the heat. Would suggest replacing chilli sauce with ketchup or bbq sauce for a milder version. Cranberry sauce works great.

I only put in half the hot sauce and it was so hot that's all I could taste and I like hot spicy dishes. Sauce was a bit weird too.

I made these for my son's 4th birthday party. They we're a hit with the young and the old. I unfortunately didn't have the chili sauce when I went to make it so I substituted honey garlic sauce for the chili; it was fabulous!! So yummy!

These were great! I accidently used Asian chili sauce and WWWOOOHH, that was some spicy sauce! I added another can of cranberry sauce and more brown sugar, that seemed to make it just right for me and my husband. But we like stuff hot. I also noted one reviewer added Lipton Onion Soup mix into the meat instead of onions and I did that as well. They turned out perfect and I will definatly make them again!

GREAT RECIPE! Thanks so much for sharing. I have made this probably 30 times and always gotten rave reviews! I make my meatballs a little different- 1 lb ground meat, 1 pk. pork stuffing mix, 1 egg, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. milk, 1 tsp. garlic powder, 1 tsp. onion powder. Also, for the sauce I add 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper and a splash of worchesteshire sauce. One of my favorites, thanks again!!!

These were good but didn't knock my socks off. I made them for a baby shower and everyone liked them. However, they were a little on the sweet side for me. I'll make them again, though...just adjust accordingly.

These are absolutely fabulous. To the people saying they're too spicy... did you use chili sauce (generally comes in a can), or hot sauce (comes in a bottle)... chili sauce is not that spicy and certainly doesn't overwhelm the cranberry sauce. I've made these twice now and am making them again tomorrow. Took them to a potluck at work and everyone loved them - they were the first thing gone! I use frozen veggie meatballs, since I'm vegetarian. Even so, nobody could tell and everyone rave and asked for the recipe! These are definitely my new party take-along!

These were a total hit at the last 2 parties I had! When I was planning the menu for my Dad's 60th, I got specific requests for these meatballs. I take the easy route and buy bags of pre-made Swedish-style meatballs from BJ's wholesale club ($9.99 a bag). They work like a charm!

I'm not sure what I missed in this recipe. The chili sauce was really really hot, maybe I should have used milder one. What did other people use for the chili sauce. I couldn't really taste even the cranberry sauce. I used lime juice instead of lemon but couldn't taste the lemon either. I don't think I'll make these again.

I used frozen meatballs, but cooked them first in oven. I also placed a bag of smokies in the Crockpot with the meatballs. This was a hit with everyone.
