  1. Stir half-and-half, chicken stock, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce together in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a simmer and add sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, white pepper, and salt. Stir the mixture and continue to cook until hot, about 5 minutes.
  2. Blend mixture with an immersion blender until smooth. Reduce heat to low and continue cooking until the mixture thickens, about 20 minutes.

This was very good. Bit too much pepper, but I can always tone that down next time. My fiance said it was good as well but it reminded him of tomato bisque. Our son said "Mmmmm," and then asked for more. Thanks for the recipe.

I didn't have any canned diced tomatoes, so used crushed tomatoes instead, which also meant I didn't have to bother with the blender. Wonderful flavor, I'll never buy the canned stuff again.

This soup was so good even my most picky of eaters loved it. My friend who hates tomatoes was even able to eat a bowl full. Thanks for sharing the recipe, I can't wait to make it for a holiday party or a nice dinner party.
