I used this recipe as a guide and I admit that I deviated quite a lot. First I didn’t make the ranch dressing at all, but used what I already had on hand. Secondly, I only had grape tomatoes, which don’t work too well in a sandwich, so I left the tomato out, and I added some lettuce. I put the ranch dressing and mayonnaise on the table and both Hubs and I preferred this sandwich with the mayo. If I make this again, I think I would skip the lettuce and wrap it in non-stick foil and heat it. I think it would have been better served warm.

Wow - what a sandwich! Hellman's has done it again! This was fabulous and what really made it was the buttermilk dressing which put it over the top. I opted for Swiss cheese, left off the extra red onion and added some fresh crisp lettuce because what's a club sandwich without that... I served this with kettle cooked chip and dill pickles - YUM!

You'll not find a better sandwich - anywhere. I prepared both the dressing and the sandwich itself following the recipe as written, only substituting the breast meat from a rotisserie chicken for the turkey. Since Hubs is not fond of Swiss cheese, I chose the cheddar option. I used small loaves of French bread to make individual sandwiches. I came to learn that each ingredient in both the dressing as well as in the sandwich makes its own significant and unique contribution, so none should be omitted nor anything substituted for best results. Any leftovers of dressing could easily be thinned out with a little buttermilk and used as a salad dressing. Hubs declared this "The best sandwich I ever ate."
