Crisp and fluffy, these waffles are rad! They are great following the recipe as is, but I usually add an extra egg (result of forgetting I was halving the recipe and messing up on the egg count). It makes them extra fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside, without an eggy taste. Experiment with more vanilla, or almond extract. Also, try adding in some cinnamon to taste, I want to say it was about a tsp, and it made these seriously the best waffles I had ever had anywhere! Try topping with brown sugar it melts into the butter and syrup!

This is our one and only recipe for weekend waffles, they come out perfect every time! My husband is always adding chocolate chips, blueberries, pecans, etc. they're great alone or with pretty much anything you can imagine. We saved so much money using this recipe & not buying that box waffle mix at the market.

This is the easiest, tastiest waffle I've ever eaten. And being the first waffle I've ever made I was incredibly impressed by this recipe. I followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect! I think I will add chocolate chips or cinnamon next time.

These are delicious and super easy! light and crisp just the way I like them. The only change I made was to separate the eggs and whip the egg whites then fold them in very last. Thanks for a great recipe!

Daughter says GOOD and it is a keeper. Only change I did was use powdered milk as I prefer to use that in baking :)They came out looking golden and puffy.

These are absolutely delish!! I made these for my 3 girls and husband on their first day of spring break and they loved them!! They turned out picture perfect! I started by making one batch which wasn't enough for my size family so I made a double batch on top of the batch I had already made which was way to much. So I came up with an idea to keep making them until all the batter was gone then put them in a zip lock bag then pop them in the refrigerator for the next morning. THIS WAS THE BEST IDEA IN THE WORLD!!! The next day I pulled them out of the fridge and popped them in the toaster, DELICIOUS!!!!! I will be using this recipe for years and years and years to come!!! Thanks so much for posting!!!

Excellant recipee. I like the touch of vanilla. In my waffle iron it took exactly 4 minutes (each). I split the recipe in half and it was a perfect 2 servings.

I used twice as much sugar, but could have used 3x as much. I froze these and reheated them, and got a crispy waffle! Theyre a little dry though, so maybe a little more oil will fix that?
