Oh so good. As recommended, I doubled the sugar and vanilla. I also beat the egg whites separately and then folded them in at the very last. The butter in this recipe really makes these oh so yummy (do not substitute). This was my first attempt at homemade waffles and they came out great!!

A great recipe! This was my first time making waffles, and I thoroughly enjoyed how easy it was and the taste! The real test, though, was when my Grandmother (a cook of 30 years) tasted them and said "Well done"!

Instead of 2 cups flour I used 1 1/2 cups flour and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour. Scrumptious!

Pretty good! I think alot of it has to do with the iron you are using, I dont particularley like my waffle iron as I dont get the texture I am going for. But the waffle was very good. Im sure if I had the ideal waffle iron I would get the waffle house type of waffle that I am seeking, using this recipe

Works perfectly in PHILIPS Cucina 3-in-One gadget. The waffles are quick and easy. Very light and if left long enough in the waffle iron, they really are beautifully crisp on the outside and delicious to eat.

Just the recipe I needed for my new waffle iron. Inever have buttermilk in so this suits me fine. I do use a lot of oil so they don't come out healthy but are crispy and lite.

Easy to prepare. Very light and tasty. This will definitely be my waffle recipe from now on. i didn't change anything in the recipe at all. Even the first waffle out of the waffle maker was good! Thanks for sharing.

I found the batter too heavy. I whipped the egg whites prior to mixing them with the batter. I liked the crispiness of the waffles but they didn't fluff up enough for my family's taste.

Crisp and fluffy, these waffles are rad! They are great following the recipe as is, but I usually add an extra egg (result of forgetting I was halving the recipe and messing up on the egg count). It makes them extra fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside, without an eggy taste. Experiment with more vanilla, or almond extract. Also, try adding in some cinnamon to taste, I want to say it was about a tsp, and it made these seriously the best waffles I had ever had anywhere! Try topping with brown sugar it melts into the butter and syrup!

This is our one and only recipe for weekend waffles, they come out perfect every time! My husband is always adding chocolate chips, blueberries, pecans, etc. they're great alone or with pretty much anything you can imagine. We saved so much money using this recipe & not buying that box waffle mix at the market.

This is the easiest, tastiest waffle I've ever eaten. And being the first waffle I've ever made I was incredibly impressed by this recipe. I followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect! I think I will add chocolate chips or cinnamon next time.

These are delicious and super easy! light and crisp just the way I like them. The only change I made was to separate the eggs and whip the egg whites then fold them in very last. Thanks for a great recipe!
