This recipe is great! Made as exactly as written. Right combination of sweet and buttery. Make sure you temper the eggs when adding the warm milk so they don't scramble.

Great waffles! I replaced 1/2 cup flour with whole wheat flour and cut back on the butter. They were really good.

These were good. I replaced half the flour with whole wheat flour and increased the sugar to 1/4 cup.

Very tasty! Very thick, too. I had to add a little bit more than recommended into my waffle maker.

These were a bit dense, but tasty nonetheless. I didn't sift the dry ingredients (used whole wheat pastry flour) this time, but will see if that lessens the density next time. I whipped up some fresh cream with a tad of agave nectar and used grade A 100% maple syrup over the waffles. Fresh sliced strawberries and blueberries really added a nice touch to these. This recipe made more batter than we could eat in one sitting, but we used it all up and froze the leftover waffles in zip lock baggies for the next weekend. The were equally terrific a week later warmed in the toaster. Truly wonderful!

Absolutely love this recipe the best of all waffle recipes I have tried. I especially like that there is butter instead of oil in this recipe. I can even smell the vanilla as the waffles bake! We can never eat all of the waffles so I freeze the leftover waffles with pieces of waxed paper in between and then pop them in the toaster--crisp and perfect!

This recipe was very heavy. I did not care for this one. I like a lighter fluffier waffle.

These waffles are great. Don't forget to heat the milk and butter or they don't come out a good. I also sometimes add a little cinnamon.

The waffles came out great! I like the texture... I used a hand mixer to get rid of flour chunks. Next time will half the salt. Froze leftovers and toast them when needed. This recipe became my most used one. Thank you!

This is now my go-to waffle recipe. I make a batch of homemade waffles for my family about once a week. This recipe is always so easy to throw together in the morning and the waffles taste delicious (about a thousand times better than frozen waffles). I've varied it a bit at times, too, by adding blueberries or chocolate chips. It always turns out well!
