Wow! I served this at my birthday dinner party 2 years ago and my friends are still talking about it. I'm dusting it off again to try for the adults at my son's birthday party...I will be omitting the rum this time as it really sneaks up on you in the recipe. This is a 5 star because it is unforgettable and delicious!

This was excellent & everyone loved it! I did tweak the recipe a bit. I still used only one lemon, lime, & orange, but doubled everything else. After mixing everything, it tasted too much like rum/alcohol for my tastes, so I added more orange juice (prob. 1/2 to 1 cup extra), & more sugar (around 1/2 c. extra).

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! It is strong; so be forewarned. My girlfriend fell asleep on the edge of my tub with her hiney in the air giraffe style after I served this at my baby shower.

OH MY GOODNESS! I MADE IT WITH CAPTIAN MORGANS SPICE RUM AND A BOTTLE OF MURLO. I USE FRESH BLUEBERRIE, APPLES, LIME, LEMON, AND GRAPES. I HAD TO ADD A LITTLE EXTRA SUGAR THOUGH. I DID NOT LIKE WINE AT ALL, BUT MY DAUGHTER AND I JUST GOT HOME FROM ST.AUGISTINE, FLORIDA AND THEY HAVE THE BEST SANGRIA EVER AND OURS TURNED OUT EVEN BETTER. I CAN NOT WAIT TO MAKE THIS AND TAKE TO OUR THANKSGIVING PARTY, THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;0) ENJOY------ KAREN

I love this recipe because it is so easy and wonderful. I am sort of a light weight so I add some 7up or Ginger Ale to spritz it up and bring down some of the alcohol content.

I have made this for plenty of parties and have been told this is better than the sangria in Spain. I took someone's advice and use Captain Morgan's spiced rum. I add a pear and an apple to the recipe and usually use at least two bottles of wine (usually a cabernet that is somewhat cheap or on sale). Have given the recipe to many others.

I get rave reviews everytime I make this. It is a good base recipe, I like to make it my own by adding apples along with the other fruits. I also use spiced rum and orange-pineapple juice. I have also added a dash of Fresca to each glass to make it zippy.

This is the best Sangria I have EVER had! I used Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, fresh orange juice (not from concentrate), and instead of the citrus I used blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries. Oh my God! Awesome. It was even better two days later when it had a chance to blend.. got a little thicker. This drink is not for a lightweight. Can't wait to make it again!

My friends call this drink "Hangover Sangria" and demand I make it for every party/dinner/BBQ etc. I find it's best when really really cold, so I serve it over lots of ice. That way, its potency is lessened a little as well. I realize ice in sangria is "wrong" but it sure tastes good when it's cold, and I prefer that to watering it down with soda. I do cut down on the rum some as others have said. Still, it's a killer drink.

I did not care for this recipe. All you can taste is the rum. We had to add an additional 2 cups of orange juice then mix it half and half with sprite to even drink some of it.

Delish! I marinated the fruit, sugar, and rum (only 1/2 cup of it) overnight. Thanks for sharing.

I put less rum and I could still get drunk out of this!! but I just LOVED it. It was gone in no time. I passed the recipe to my mom and we will both make it over and over. Thanks

Delicious but way too strong...I only put in a cup of rum already being wary of the alcohol. It was still a bit much. I'd go with 1/2 or 3/4 cup rum next time. I used cheap burgundy, lemon juice instead of a lemon, pineapple-orange juice (it's what I had), and added some maraschino cherries like some others did. Also, don't let it sit for longer than an evening with all the fruit in it or it gets real bitter (probably from the citrus rinds). But again, it was delicious!

I used Captain Morgan as others had recommended and thought the spice and rum was too strong in the mix. I would use Brandy next time.

I love this sangria recipe - very quick and easy and it tastes wonderful! I replace 1/2 cup of the rum with triple sec and lower the sugar to 1/4 of a cup. Also, I just mix it all up and let it sit in the fridge over night. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

wow... just a tad too much rum. for those who like it strong, follow this to the letter. for those who like it reasonable, cut the rum in half. but i do like my bevy's with a bold taste so i enjoy this one overall, thus the 4 stars
