I added apples, strawberries, and pineapple. Doubled the recipe, but used 1/2 the rum (Capt Morgan spiced rum)called for. SO GOOD, we drank every last drop!

Made this for a cookout with friends. Major hit!!! We had some 7-UP handy for those who did not want a potent drink.

The rum is what makes this Sangria taste like REAL Spanish sangria. Be sure to use a really good dark rum to give it a yummy full taste.

Made this for my housewarming party & everybody loved it. I ended up making 3 batches because it kept disappearing. Even the guests who said they hate wine were drinking it.

Fantastic. I think it is a bit stronger than it tastes. For poolside, I might cut down on the ABV a bit next time, but very good.

This was so easy to make! I did cut the rum to 1 cup and I only added 2-3 tbsp. of sugar as I like mine a little less sweet. I also added a few splashes of lemon-lime soda for some fizz. I used a basic table red that was inexpensive-this was a hit at our tappas party! Great summer entertaining drink.

Used 1/2 spiced rum and 1/2 regular rum. Also cut the amount of rum in half and it was still strong. Added sprite as well. Really delicious and everyone loved it.

This didn't taste like the spanish sangria we drank in Spain. I added only 1 cup of rum and it still was too strong and not refreshing enough because of the sweetness.

This was delicious and a big hit at my last BBQ. I used a 1.5 liter bottle of Yago Sangria, increased the rum to 2 cups and kept the rest of the ingredient amounts the same. It went down great and was just as good as I've had at Mexican restaurants. Highly recommend.

I love Sangria, and this recipe truly embellishes the wonderful use of fruit for those hot summer nights. I used a Merlot and it came put great. Buen Verano, everyone. Two hours was plenty of time to "meld" flavors.

Awesome and simple, would add some fruit next time. Can't believe how easy this goes down, you can barely taste the alcohol! Doesn't seem to taste any better the morning after so perhaps leaving it overnight isn't necessary. Goes great with a paella!

This is wonderful and only gets better with age. I use Arbor Mist blackberry merlot with whatever rum I have at the house. Everyone loves it and requests me to make it.

We truly loved it. I used spiced rum as suggested and only 1 cup. We didn't want to get to snockered. I also added a little bit more OJ to match my husband's taste.

This is one of the easiest and best sangria recipes I have found. I used spiced rum and a merlot. I only used 1 cup of the rum, which was plenty. It was a little sour with the lemons- I will omit them next time and add more cherries and strawberries. It was a little heavy and sour, so I added a splash of lemon-lime seltzer water, which was perfect. It got great reviews, and I will definitely make this again!
