This was wonderful. I only used 1/3 cup sugar and added frozen peas and chopped pimento olives.

Everyone lived this! Like others, I cut down on the sugar. Other than that, I left it the same and it was delicious!!!

My husband made this because he loves macaroni salad. I was so pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was! He changed the recipe a bit by adding red peppers in lieu of celery. I have to say that I loved it and I know our friends and family will ask for it at our summer barbeques!!

Pretty good. I cut the sugar in half, cut the mayo a bit too, and added a good shake of garlic powder. A good, basic pasta salad.

I made this as is except I left out the onion and added chopped green pepper. At first it was a bit sweet but by the time I served it the next day, most of the dressing had been absorbed by the pasta and it was AWESOME! Not too sweet at all. I loved it and I'm not a big macaroni salad fan. My mother-in-law loved it. Everyone loved it. I'm making it again for Memorial Day.

I thought this was very good. I wish some of the reviewers wouldn't be so mean, just because they personally don't care for a recipe.

My husband refused to eat it and went to get carry out. This was embarrassing!! This was absolutely terrible!! I added only 1/4 cup as opposed to 2/3 cup of sugar and it was way too sweet. This is just a terrible recipe. My husband wanted to give it to a widowed elderly neighbor and I asked him -- "what did he ever do to you?!" I'll stick with the tried and true -- Mayo/sour cream basic recipe.

I used apple cider vinegar and frozen peas for the veggies (no onion, bell pepper, or celery). I used about three cups of mini star, standard size elbow, and tomato/spinach twist pasta. Everyone loved it from the two year old to the grandparents!

This is very similar to my recipe of my grandmothers. The only difference is I add either a can of drained white tuna or white chicken. Huge hit for anyday!

This was great! I made it for a BBQ at our house. I did change a few minor things: 1) like other suggested I cut the sugar in half and it was definitely sweet enough for all of us, 2) I added sliced green olives (delicious!), and 3) I added 3 cut up boiled eggs. I had my doubts about the vinegar, but it really added a nice flavor (plus not having to use as much mayo is a bonus as well).

Great recipe and even better the next day. I followed this recipe exactly and thought it was wonderful. I will make again and I might follow others advice and add less sugar. You have to try it!

A little too sweet for my tastes, but otherwise a very adequate and standard macaroni salad.

Wow! I'm not a fan of pasta salads but had to bring one to our Cub Scout camp. This turned out great! And everyone else must have thought so also because the bowl was emptied - and that was even using whole wheat pasta. Only minor change was using red onion and I also added a bit of red pepper - both just to add a little color. Thank you!

Delicious! Was a smash hit at my bbq a few weeks back, I thought that it called for too many onions so I didn't put the full amount but I think that was a bad call it definitely needed more. It only had time to chill for about 3 hours but was still DELICIOUS!

I was really impressed with this recipe! It was very flavorful even though we started in on it early (after one hour instead of four). I mostly followed the recipe; as other reviewers suggested, I added some frozen peas (nuked for 2 minutes with a little water, because I forgot to drop them in with the pasta for a minute's worth of boiling), cubed cheddar, and sunflower seeds. Also, when I made the dressing, I used white wine vinegar (it was what I had, plus it has more flavor than white distilled) and added sugar to taste (honestly, probably only a tablespoon or two). I halved the recipe, so that could have affected the ultimate outcome, but one of the things that I really liked about this salad was that it wasn't super mayonnaise-y. The dressing was just enough to moisten it without making it heavy. Excellent!

Excellent Recipe. I didn't change a thing and it was 5 stars. I did include all the veggies and options, like the pimentos. The kids and I both really enjoyed it and I will make it again. I now have a "go to" recipe for Macaroni Salad. I will try some variations in the future to see how they turn out. While eating it I was thinking it would be good with some hard cooked egg in it and maybe some small cheese cubes.

I made this recipe twice. It is delicious! The first time I cut the sugar and vinegar in half. The second time I followed the exact recipe and didn't think it was to sweet. It was great both ways. My husband loves this macaroni salad. I will be making this salad again. Thank You!
