this was a good recipe, I kinda doctored it up a bit. Next time im not putting the 2/3c of sugar in, it was way too sweet. Instead of mayo, I used half sour cream and miracle whip. I added cucumber for added crunch and a little fresh dill to give it some flavor.

Simply just delicious and I will be making this again next weekend for our BBQ. My only gripe, and this is just personal, is that both my husband and I had a sour stomach from the raw onions. Next time, I'll just omit them or perhaps cook them up first. Very simple dish yet a big hit!

If you chop up ham, cheese, and add a can of corn and sliced black olives it's a meal. Oh try using dijon mustard and I use red wine vinegar

all good but i use miracle whip instead of mayo and sugar and add sliced black olives, green onion and egg. THE BEST!

Fantastic! My Dad, who by the way is very hard to please, loved it and couldn't get enough. Also everyone at my Memorial Day party loved it, including me! I omitted the carrots and it was spectacular!

YUM!! I did omit the green peppers becuase i did not have any on hand.Was looking for a mac salad like my aunt makes and with her add-ins of 1/2 cup frozen peas, 3 hard cooked eggs,1/2 cup sour cream,cheese and diced ham.This was very very close to her's Thanks will make again :)

Delicious! The dressing is just great - really light for a creamy one. I reduced the sugar in mine substancially, and I would advise anyone else to do the same. However, this is purely a matter of taste, so I wouldn't criticize.

Best macaroni I've ever had! I made this for my sons Baptism party and everyone loved it! I thought the recipe made a large quantity but everyone had seconds and some even thirds! Before I knew it the bowl was almost empty. (we served 10 people) Here are the changes I made, I used red pepper instead of green, I left out the onion and I used about 1/3 cup of sugar. I also think refrigeration over night is a must! This is a must try, don't skip over this one!

Made this for Memorial Day and absolutely loved it. Used my own homemade mayonaise. I do, however, think it could use a red or yellow pepper added to it.

WOW! I made this over the Memorial Day weekend and had none left! My husband raved over this recipe and told me, "it's a keeper"! It doesn't have that lingering after taste that I've found in other macaroni salads and has a nice blend of sweet and tangy! Never will I buy store bought again or make any other! Perfect as it is, made no changes at all!

this was unbelievably good! i was worried it would be too sweet, but it wasn't at all! our family moved to europe when i was a teenager and i have always missed american macaroni salad - but now i don't have to anymore, this was perfect! even my norwegian husband, who hasn't been a fan of macaroni salad, loved this. will be making it again and again!

the is awesome! i made it the day prior to eating it and it came out wonderful! i would do this so the noodles soak up the liquid. the only thing i changed is that i cut down on the sugar and it was still pretty sweet.
