We used this recipe for a graduation party and it was well recieved- guests were surprised that we would make our own and not buy it premade? They were surprised at how fresh and tasty it was. Lots of compliments. We made it pretty much as stated in recipe.

This recipe is very good, but I did reduce the amount of sugar, added some relish and paprika. I think next time I will omit the vinegar. Overall it was very good and recieved lots of compliments.

I made this recipe, and it's good! I don't particularly care for vinegar, so I omitted that, and I also added pickle relish to the recipe which my family enjoyed, and chopped boiled eggs. I also loved the addition of shredded carrots. I give this recipe a 5 star rating. Very good!

This is the greatest recipe for a macaroni salad. Basic always seems to be the best whenever I bring this to a party.

really good, but the raw onions took over and that's really all you taste. Next time I would either cook them a bit first, use dehydrated minced onions or just omit them all together.

Very good, definitely a keeper. Used bow tie pasta and green onions instead of regular onion.

Loved this recipe. Cut the sugar in half after reading other reviews and added cucumbers. I did think that is was mustardy, but I didn't mind it. Different, but good.

Too sweet...I should have known better when I saw the ingredient list (sugar, and mustard? never had a macaroni salad with mustard in it) but went ahead and tried it anyway...had to pour it all into a strainer and rinse, rinse, rinse to salvage my macaroni. Ended up with a true classic macaroni salad by using 1/2 cup of Mayo, 1/2 cup of Miracle whip, 1/2 cup sour cream, onion, celery, green pepper, salt and pepper to taste.

This is outstanding, and I'm not a big fan of bell peppers. But the flavors all meld together in this one, and it is a definite keeper. I didn't change a thing, except I did not include the optional grated carrot and I used a sweet Vidalia onion. My brother went back for seconds before I could even get it into the refrigerator!

Great recipe!! I used doubled the recipe but only used 2/3 sugar and one large onion, I also added some grated cheddar cheese, real bacon bits from Costco, and cucumber! It was fabulous!!!

This is really, really, really good! Recipe makes plenty of dressing, it doesn't dry out everyone in my family loved it. My bland old macaroni salad recipe has been retired forever!

very good, will make it again. Didn't put any onion in it. We didn't think it was too sweet, but thought it was a lot of sugar to put in. Maybe next time will cut back on sugar just to see.

Loved it! Best I have ever had. I halved the recipe, but only used about a quarter of a small onion which I will eliminate next time as I thought it was too much. I did add a small chopped carrot and used 1/2 each of a chopped green and red pepper for color. I started with a reduced amt of sugar as some thought it was too sweet, but ended up adding the full amt (1/3 c. for half a recipe.)

Not really a fan. Very sweet. Could be good once you get used to the very different flavour. Almost like a coleslaw dressing on pasta salad.

I used 1/2 the sugar called for and this was still too sweet. Maybe this is what Macaroni salad is supposed to taste like? This is sugar coated pasta . NOBODY liked this. Won't make this again, unless I omit sugar completely.

this was a good recipe, I kinda doctored it up a bit. Next time im not putting the 2/3c of sugar in, it was way too sweet. Instead of mayo, I used half sour cream and miracle whip. I added cucumber for added crunch and a little fresh dill to give it some flavor.
