I used this recipe the very first time I made macaroni salad. I always preferred my Mom's and never made it. But now that she is gone - I wanted to make some. My family loved this. the only thing I did different was substitute white wine vinegar (because that was what I had) and I used celery flakes, because I can't use celery before it goes bad. Thanks for a new family favorite!

is good, but DEFINATELY cut the sugar in 1/2. Don't get me wrong, i'm aaaaalll about the sweet stuff, lol, but is too sweet for something that's not a cookie or donut. lol I will prolly make again??

Basic ingredients, however, it was too sweet for me and I did not like the prepared mustard. I used coleman's dry and added a little more liquid. I also substituted 1/2 half greek yoghurt for 1/2 of the mayo to cut down on the fat.

For me, when it comes to macaroni salad, it's all about the sauce and this one is a keeper. The only change I made was to decreased the sugar to 1/4C. It was lightly sweet and couldn't be any more perfect. I like to throw in whatever is colorful and in season as well such as red and orange bell peppers, cucumber, radishes, etc. I also like to fold in a few chopped hard boiled eggs and some cheese crumbles. Delicious!

It is about the sauce and this is so delicious. I made the recipe exactly as written and it was the hit of our 4th of July BBQ.

I thought it was very good. It wasn't too sweet for me. I added red and green bell peppers for color. I did not add carrots. Next time maybe I'll add a little jalapeño for some kick.

This would be very good, except I added the amount of sugar it called for and I was very upset at how sweet it was...next time I will cut it in half...almost isn't good to eat..

This is the best macaroni salad I have ever made. I have been giving this recipe to all my friends and family. I can't wait for my next cookout because this is going to be 1 of my dishes. I add bacon bits(and a little bit of relish for my husband on his plate) on top as a garnish with a little crunch to it and it was excellent. This will be my macaroni salad recipe for life.....unless my husband gets tired of me making it. Lol

The first time I made this macaroni salad it was unbelievable!!! The second time I used low fat mayo and it was way too sweet. So...regular mayo, cut back to 1/4 cup sugar and it is perfect!!

We used this recipe for a graduation party and it was well recieved- guests were surprised that we would make our own and not buy it premade? They were surprised at how fresh and tasty it was. Lots of compliments. We made it pretty much as stated in recipe.

I made this recipe for a party. It was the first time I have ever made macaroni salad. There was 15 people at the party, and at the end of the night, no salad left, with lots of people asking me for the recipe!! I left out the onion, and pimento. I used whole wheat pasta, and low fat miracle whip instead of mayo, and this recipe turned out amazing, and has made it to my recipe book.

I made this recipe, and it's good! I don't particularly care for vinegar, so I omitted that, and I also added pickle relish to the recipe which my family enjoyed, and chopped boiled eggs. I also loved the addition of shredded carrots. I give this recipe a 5 star rating. Very good!
