Did 2 9" pies in deep dish pie shells. I also did some leftover diced chicken instead of the ham, because I didn't have any ham. EXCELLENT recipe! I did layer, according to the directions, but I think it would work as well with just mixing it all together.

The flavor of this Quiche is really great. I made it for a camping trip and everyone loved it. I dont know what happened, but my Quiche crust was soggy...is it supposed to be this way? I dont know what I did wrong. I will try again just because it was very good. I made put everything together the day before and then put in crust the next day...maybe that is why....I will give still 5 stars because it was so good and everyone loved even though the crust wasnt crisp! Thanks for the recipe!

The ratings are well deserved -- this is a great quiche. I've made it three times, tweaking each time. We tried first with ham, but our favorite was browned breakfast links cut into about four pieces. The first time, I mixed the spinach mixture with rest. Next time, I tried layering and the wife said it had too much spinach. Last time, I mixed it all together again (same amounts of everything) and she thanked me for cutting back on the spinach. I've found there's too much filling for regular shells, but just enough for deep dish. I also covered the tops with foil last time for about half of the cooking time and while they weren't as browned when done, the cheese was much easier to cut through with a fork the next day when microwaved.

Very good quiche! Like other reviewers, I mixed everything together and poured in UNBAKED pie shells and they were great. Pre-baking would have gotten them way too brown. I did NOT use the bacon, but followed all the other directions. I did have to bake an extra 10 minutes or so to get them to a doneness that I like for eggs. This made one quiche for dinner and an extra one that I took to work the next morning for breakfast.

I used the pillsbury pie crust and pre-baked as others suggested (probably not needed). I layered the ingredients but it was messy so I would just mix them all together next time. Big hit at our neighborhood play group.

scrumptious. i wanted to make homemade pastry as other reviewers did, but happened to have the frozen Pillsbury kind on hand, so I used that. I think I did everything as the recipe said except that I didn't use ham or mushrooms, and I added chopped green onions because I only had about 1/4 cup chopped white onions. I did prebake the pastry but the edges got a little darker than I hoped so next time I won't prebake. It was delicious...my 19 month old even loved it and he usually likes most of his foods separated. I definitely would leave out the ham again because the bacon was good enough (put in an extra slice or two). I used half reg bacon and half maple bacon. MMMMM. Perfect topped with slices of fresh avocado w/garlic salt and pepper.

This recipe is excellent, i have a similar one i have been using from Southern Living. It is equally as good. i followed the directions to the ingredients as written. But i did not layer the items in the pie pans. i mixed all the ingredients together and poured them into the pan. Came out just fine. Thank you for sharing.

No other quiche recipe touches this. Oscar Mayer turkey bacon does the trick if you're staying away from pork products.

THIS IS THE BEST QUICHE EVER!! I made a couple minor changes. I doubled the bacon and left out the ham. I also used fresh spinach and reduced fat sour cream. I chopped the mushrooms very fine b/c my friend doesn't like them, but thought she could deal with them if she couldn't see them. She said it was the best quiche she's ever had too! I had no issues with the liquid being too much for the pies. Don't hesitate to make this!!!!

I've been making this for a few years now - and I ALWAYS get asked for the recipe. I now use it as my base recipe for all quiches, changing the meat and veggies as desired for any occasion. Perfect 10.

I didn't have any ham, so I doubled the mushrooms and bacon and the flavor was great. I wasn't too crazy about the layering, so I think next time I will just mix everything together and pour it in the crust.
