I made this crustless, and I left out the mushrooms because hubby doesn't like them, but otherwise it was as listed and it was excellent. My 3 year-old asked for it for days.

Great recipe and easy to follow. We couldn't stop eating it...breakfast, lunch, dinner. I made these very minor changes: left out the ham, used about 2/3 of each of the cheeses to cut out a few of the calories, and used the precooked thick cut bacon that you microwave. It was perfect! Thanks for a sharing a wonderful recipe!

I actually thought this recipe was terrible. The bottom crust was soggy, and the whole thing overall lacked flavor. Sorry!

This is a wonderful dish! It works with a can of evaporated milk also, which is something I always have on hand, unlike cream. I recommend adding a little salt to the spinach/sour cream mixture and that's it. The cheese and bacon make the rest salty enough.

Very good and easy. I had never made a quiche before so I was nervous at first, but it turned out really well. I took it to a brunch at my church and it was all gone by the end. I use sausage instead of ham and that worked really well too.

We love this recipe! It's so tasty! On the deep dish note, I did buy some deep dish frozen pie crusts and it overflowed. This time I'm using the refrigerated pie crusts and pressing them into my deep dish Pampered Chef pie pans. I think they will hold it just fine.

This recipe was really good, however, it took me a reall long time to prep--do not know if it was the recipe or my toddler--but it turned out great. I think I will do either bacon or ham and not both. Thank you for the great recipe!

Too much meat (bacon and ham). I tried to make it without meat and it was pretty blah.

Holy cow was this yummy! I used boxed crust mix just because that I made so much dough these past days that I wanted a break from cutting in shortening to flour but it worked fine. It all came together rather quickly and I did substitute some of the eggs with cholesterol free egg product and had to cut back on the cheese and egg/cream mixture just because I didn't have deep dish pans. Can't wait to dig into the second pie tomorrow for breakfast!

This is outstanding! I made these for a breakfast brunch for work and they were both gone. I used an applewood smoked bacon and it added a very good flavor to the quiche.

I loved it, and will make it again, my hubby wasnt as thrilled- but Im not sure he'd be happy with any type of quiche. easy enough to make when your tired. it'll be a staple at this house and makes for a good lunch the next day

Very good! I halved the recipe because I'm only cooking for two and it turned out just right. I used a sheet of puff pastry (filo dough) for my crust instead of the pie crust. Nice, light and flaky that way. Turned out awesome.

Thank you Clark for a great recipe. I've been experimenting with Quiches for a while now and this is the best so far. I made a few minor changes. I omitted the bacon and added more ham instead, and I used fat-free half and half and milk insead of the whipping cream. It turned out great!

Clark is right! You HAVE to make 2! Hubby hates eggs but had 3 big pieces of this quiche! I followed the recipe except I used fresh spinach which I cooked down a bit with my onion, and didn't have too much for my deep dish pie pans, it was the perfect amount.

Wonderful! Except for using fresh spinach instead of frozen, I didn't change a thing. I guess my pie dishes were just the right depth, because they filled exactly right. I may try this with phyllo next time, just out of curiosity, but that would be a purely experimental change. Incredible quiche, and it was my first!!

Excellent. Time consuming, but well worth it. Make sure to use deep dish pie dishes and chop all ingredients pretty small.

Clark- this was EXCELLENT!! I wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars! The flavor's are so delicious, the dish really could be used at any mealtime,(or a snack)! The only thing I did different was I used a homemade pie crust. I know it's more time consuming, but I have my great-grandmother's recipe, and if any dish calls for pie crust I do not think I could deviate from the homemade! I learned through the other reviews that this is intended for deep dish, I had the perfect pie dish, and no problems with overflowing! I did not cut back on any eggs or cheeses. I did end up using a little more spinach. I only made 1 pie though due to the fact it's just the 2 of us...and I had to stop my husband from devouring all of it in one sitting! He didn't have enough good things to say about this! One of the best recipes I have tried on this site!!! Amazing job :) This is a quick update: I forgot to mention that I did bae my pie crust for 10 mins. prior to filling. This is a MUST step in my opinion. Also, I would agree with many other reviewers by reducing or completely leaving out the added salt. Either by just adding it the one time to the spinach mix or, whichever. But with the bacon, ham, and cheese it came out a little on the salty side. And I usually have a high tolerance to very salty things. Even with that though, the quiche was off the charts!!!
