The croutons give it a chewy, spongy texture that is very unappetizing. I babysat a friend's kids overnight and we made these. Very kid-friendly because it doesnt involve the oven. They wouldnt eat it after the firt bite. We ended up throwing it out and making No bake cookies, also found on this site. Later I came back and revised this recipe, and it turned out perfectly. I used granola oats in place of the croutons, and dried cranberries instead of the marshmallows.
