This didn't work out for me and I don't know why...it wasn't cooked when I cooked it for the prescribed time and the walnut topping seemed to be too hard when it did cook through. Was disappointed. Not sure if I did something wrong. The cake itself tasted okay though.

I made this in muffin form instead of a cake. It was very good and I will make it again but try something else to keep the topping in place better.

hmmm this was interesting. don't get me wrong, it tasted great, but the texture was a little odd and the topping, while tasty, didn't stick to the cake. but it was still good tasting.

This is AWESOME!! I doubled this and baked in 9x13 pan. Instead of just milk, I put half sour cream, half milk. Wow!! Moist. Almost like pound cake with that yummy topping. The one person said it reminds her of Starbuck's similar cake. She's RIGHT!! Oh, I also put about 1/2 t nutmeg in the flour mixture too. SOOO GOOD!!!

I actually found the coffee cake to be a little dense. I like a little more fluff. The topping was good though - I used a 9x9 pan and it was done in approx 40min.

This was a great recipie! I will definetly use it again. Instead of using 1 Cup of regular sugar, I used half brown sugar and half regular sugar. I also like cinnamon a lot so i added a another half teaspoon of cinnamon. This is a great snacky recipie and im only 12 so i dont drink coffee, but all my friends and family loved it plain and was all gone by the end of the day. The texture was a little spongy and i like mine thicker and moist, but i dont know what to do about that, maybe add a little bit more milk? Thanks for the recipe!
