These have become a Christmas morning tradition at my house! I make a big breakfast, so I prefer smaller cinnamon rolls that don't fill up the whole plate - so I make mine smaller and get 24 or so out of the recipe. Also, unlike most, I don't like when they are really gooey. I like to spread them out on a large baking sheet so the rolls get golden and more done on the outside.
These make wonderful Christmas presents - especially for friends and neighbors who don't bake! They definitely impress! They freeze well, so you can make ahead with instructions to: freeze, transfer to refrigerator Christmas Eve, let rise 45 min in the morning and bake.
