These were tasty, but a little drier than I'd have liked. Mine browned quickly and rose nicely.

I'm only rating the biscuit part pf the recipe because I omitted the icing. I used unsalted butter instead of shortening and made tablespoon drops onto a cookie sheet rather than cutting out circles. Also, since I didn't make the icing, I increased the sugar from 1 Tbsp to 2 Tbsp and used 2/3 cup raisins instead of 1/3. Even with little changes, I loved this recipe and plan to use it many times in the future. It's not too sweet to be considered a dessert, so I can give them to my child at any point during the day as a treat or a snack. I look forward to making other variations of this recipe in the future!

These are so simple and quick to put together. From the time you decide to make them to the time they're ready to eat, it's easily less than 30 minutes. I did make 3 small changes. 1. I increased the cinnamon to 1.5 teaspoons. 2. I used half shortening and half oil because I wanted drop biscuits. 3. I scraped out the inside of a small piece of a vanilla bean and added it to the glaze...it really gave it a little extra something. This recipe is definitely a go-to, and I'd even say it's great for unexpected company or hungry kiddos that can't wait long for a snack!

4 stars because I altered it a bit. Tripled the amount of cinnamon, doubled the sugar, had to add a little bit more milk. Dropped the biscuits rather than cutting them out. Very yummy, not quite like my old Hardee's favorite biscuits but definitely fixed my craving :)

Great recipe and simple to make in minutes. I changed it on the second batch with some Craisins soaked in blueberry juice in place of the raisins. DELICIOUS!!!!

This is AWESOME! Don't change a thing. The dough is sticky but I always keep a little pile (1/2-1 Cup) of flour beside me when I'm working with dough. If you're having problems, sprinkle flour all over the surface of dough WHILE it's in the bowl (I did the KNEADING part with my hand mixer and dough hook attachments), flour hands and turn dough, sprinkle with flour, knead with hands a couple of time, sprinkling flour on sticky parts as needed and then remove and roll out. Keep sprinkling whenever you hit a really stick spot.

These are fantastic! I followed the directions exactly and they are delicious! The only change I might make is to reduce the oven temp by 25 degrees. Mine were baked right at ten minutes. I also baked on parchment paper. Thanks for the recipe! It's a keeper!

I'm giving this 4 stars because while it provided an awesome starting point for me, I made significant changes. I wanted a sweet biscuit, so I used 1/4 cup white sugar and 1/8 cup brown sugar, 1 cup whole wheat flour and 1 cup all-purpose. I also added double the cinnamon, extra raisins, a little more milk for consistency, and a dash of all spice. I did not need a glaze since the biscuit itself was sweet. The whole batch was gone in minutes! I'm thinking of maybe adding the vanilla extract from the icing into the biscuit next time as well!

These were awesome. I was craving some cinnamon biscuits similar to the ones at Hardee's, and these were better. After reading reviews, I doubled the cinnamon and sugar, added an extra handful of raisins, used another quarter cup of milk, and used the drop method instead of rolling it out. I had family over to eat them and they disappeared fast!
