Original Recipe Yield 2 dozen

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the egg yolk and vanilla until the mixture is smooth. Combine the flour and cinnamon, stir into the creamed mixture.
