EXCELLENT Cookies! My 10 year old daughter said they were the VERY best! I rolled them into small balls before putting them on the pan and they came out perfectly shaped, crinkly on the top, crunchy on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside - Perfecto! Next time, and there will be many next times, I will add a touch of orange rind to jazz it up just a wee bit!

These cookies are the bomb, try em. Half recipe fit perfectly in my kitchenaid mixer and made just enough to fit in the cookie jar (after my son and I ate a few...gotta test each batch!)

These cookies are awesome! A couple of things to note.... Be sure to look at how much the recipe makes. I halved the recipe and it just fit into my Kitchen Aide mixer. Don't know how it would have fit if I did a whole recipe. Also, be sure to put them on the cookie sheet, in small balls about 1-1 1/2 inches. They spread quite a bit and will can run together. Other than that, love the taste!

This recipe makes A LOT of cookies - I halved the recipe and still ended up with 68 cookies! I'm not complaining though because they are really good. Mine came out crispy rather than chewy, probably because I only had 1/2 cup of shortening and had to substitute Earth Balance buttery spread for the rest. I also used ener-g egg replacer instead of the eggs. I'll definitely make these again, maybe adding in raisins or chocolate chips (or both!) next time. Yum! I'm going to go eat another one right now.

These cookies were the best. We made them for a church picnic/potluck. The cinnamon was strong enough that everyone knew what kind of cookie you were choosing. We actually made 108 cookies. I've never made more cookies than the recipe stated. These cookies went pretty fast.

This is a fantastic recipe! I add a little extra cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg. I also take the cookies out before they're done cooking and let them rest on the pan before I transfer them to a cooling rack. People are constantly asking me to make these.
