The best cupcake recipe ever! The batter is very creamy, I would recommend it to ANY one!

Made a few modifications based on other people's comments. 1) I don't like icing, so I completely omitted the three ingredients. 2) I used sour cream instead of buttermilk. 3) double the cinnamon, since my powdered cinnamon is kind of old and not as potent. The recipe makes 12 cupcakes, not 8 as stated. The cupcakes are DELICIOUS, even without frosting! There's no real coffee flavour...I believe it just adds moisture to the cake so they're moist and fluffy. Without the frosting each cupcake is only 127 calories!!

The coffee and cinnamon taste is hardly there, even though I doubled the coffee and tripled the cinnamon. (I like my baked goods packed with flavor.) The cupcakes without frosting tasted alright, but had the texture of carrot cake, which I'm not too fond of in my cupcakes. I paired these cupcakes with Coffee Butter Frosting (recipe from this website) and they tasted amazing after that! Wow, the frosting really did some magic! I would've rated these cupcakes 3 stars (the frosting deserves credit, not the cupcakes), but since I made these for my friend's birthday, who LOVED these and said that "these are the best birthday present I ever got!", I guess they deserve the extra star.

Love the recipe! I also used espresso and a little more cinnamon. Instead of using reg white sugar I used 1/3 cup of reg. sugar and 1/3 cup of brown sugar. The taste turned out amazing! I also got 12 cupcakes out of it and it only took about 13 minutes for them to bake (toothpick came out clean). I also topped them with a homemade cream cheese frosting because I did not want to overwhelm myself with chocolate. I am sure the original recipe is just as good as my alternate version too!

These cupcakes are just "ok". You can taste the cinnamon, but not the coffee.. I used 1/2C really strong coffee but still couldn't taste any of the coffee.. they were also a bit dry.. I haven't decided if I'll try to make these again.. I may need to modify the recipe a bit to make them better..

Pretty good. Nice and moist. Like others, I found there wasn't enough coffee/cinnamon taste to it, so next time I will be adding more. One thing I changed: Instead of buttermilk, I added 3 shots of Bailey's. Next time I think I will add a coffee flavored Bailey's, and maybe that will bring a bit more coffee taste. Oh, and if anyone things the measurements are off, I did too. But it all works out well, and if you fill your cups at half, you should get 10-12 cakes.

This recipe tasted fine, but I used a coffee flavor instead of the cinnamon and then used the Cinnamon Coffee frosting. I then made a coffee/cappuccino flavored frosting. I believe the chocolate goes better with warm flavors and white cake blends with a lighter cake flavor. Just my opinion. These cakes baked well.

These are incredible!!! I have never reviewed before and I just had to give my opinion! I omited the cinnamon but replaced with orange zest ( I think orange zest brings out the flavor in anything), used two duck eggs to make them more dense, poured two shots of espresso for the coffee, vanilla cream cheese frosting topped with a few granuals of instant coffee & more coco powder.

Really yummy recipe. I didn't have any buttermilk so used unsweetened Lite Greek yogurt instead, worked out perfect. We ate them without frosting and they were still lovely and moist. Super easy too.
