Very good flavor and creamy texture, but extremely rich. Be sure to cool mixture thoroughly before putting in the ice cream freezer.

Yummy -- just doesn't make much, we'll double or triple next time to make enough for the time it takes to be worth it.

This is more like a frozen custard than ice cream--absolutely delicious! We added 1/2 chopped cashews after the mixture began to thicken in the ice cream maker. Yum-m-m!

I made this for my little boy's birthday because he loves Haagen-Daz cinnamon ice cream and they don't sell it in our area. The taste was delicious although very rich. The consistency however is not great unless you freeze the ice cream for several hours after it comes out of the ice cream freezer. Also, I had to triple the recipe to make a full freezer of ice cream with my ice cream maker. I'll definitely make this again with these factors in mind.

I love cinnamon ice cream so I was nervous about it not living up to my expectations. I LOVE this recipe and will make it again and again! I cooled the cooked mixture in an ice bath to make sure it would freeze easily. Thanks for sharing it!

This recipe is delicious. Very thick and creamy after it "set up" in the freezer. I served this with homemade chocolate sauce and it was a big hit.

I had never heard of cinnamon ice cream before, so I thought I'd give it a try. Although it had a wonderful, creamy texture, I didn't find it to be the sort of ice cream you put on a cone and eat by itself (I tried). I think it would be terrific with some apple pie or with something else mixed in with it (one of the previous reviewers suggested sugar cookie dough, I think). It's very sweet.

Good. Made a mistake the first try and threw out the first batch (forgot to cook the combined mixture) but I thought it was too sweet, too. I reduced the sugar to half a cup on the 2nd attempt..and it turned out fine. Very smooth.

I made this recipe along with 7 other homemade flavors for a large 4th of July party, and it was the favorite with most. We live on the border of Mexico, and many compared it to the taste of "fried ice cream" found in some local Mexican restaurants here. It was definitely good and rich.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really liked the flavor. I wouldn't change the recipe a bit, but I do what to experiment with add-ins. Sugar cookies, perhaps.

This was a delightfully different taste treat. We didn't have the ice cream maker and made it easily according to the directions and it came out perfect. It was ready in same time. Thanks Elizabeth.

This was delicious! The texture was wonderful, very easy to make. We recently got an ice cream maker and have been trying many recipes, and the texture on this one is a keeper, I wil adapt many recipes to be like this.

YUM!!!! This was the best ice cream I have ever put in my mouth! After being in my ice cream maker an hour it didn't firm up, but I think that's just my crummy ice cream maker. I put it in the freezer overnight and WOW! It's amazing. Will make again and again.

Good, great, wonderful! Forty years ago the best dessert in the world was the hot apple pie with cinnamon ice cream on top served at Kenning's in Columbus, Ohio. This is so close. I talked about how great it came out at work. I had to make more pie and ice cream for them. They all loved it, and now I am supposed to bring it to the summer picnic. Thank you very much Elizabeth.
