This syrup is really good. I was pleasantly surprised. I served it with pumpkin pancakes from this site and it was a perfect match! Thanks lovestohost for the inspiration!

Fabulous! So simple & quick. I served over "Pumpkin Pancakes" from this site and it was a pancake/syrup match made in heaven. I'm not a maple fan, so this will become a staple at the LTH house...TY!

I usually wait a little to try and formulate an objective opinion, but no need with this one. LOVE IT! I had run out of store bought pancake syrup, but wanted to make pancakes for dinner. Now my husband says he prefers this and please don't buy syrup anymore. I made exactly as described, and WOW. Thank you so much!

Delicious! I added a tsp. of coconut flavoring when I stirred in the milk and the result was extra buttery. Beware--this syrup is very rich!

Absolutely the best syrup ever! This is the fourth syrup recipe I've tried and it's a keeper. I messed up a bit with measurements and added a cup of water and only 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and it turned out great, even before adding the evaporated milk. It isn't runny like most homemade syurps.

Yes, this is really good... (Here it comes) BUT: I think you could cut the sugar some, as it's VERY sweet. For my own tastes, I dropped in oodles of cinnamon. I didn't like how loose this was - not syrupy in consistency at all..Until after being refrigerated, that is.

Out of syrup...out of any sort of extracts! I found this recipe and was nervous to feed it to my picky 10 yr old who said it "didn't look like syrup". (he's EXTREMELY picky!!!) He loved it-said it was better than the store bought. Me and my DH loved it as well. I think we are having pancakes tonight just so I can have it again! Thanks for saving the day.

Very good. I Live in Africa and we can't always get syrup or is cost $$$. The second time I made it I left out the evaporated milk, still good! Thanks for the recipe!

My roommate back in college had the same recipe and we would have Waffle Wednesdays, where we'd make this syrup and homemade waffles. My family has loved it ever since.

Sooooooo good... and sooooo easy. I made it last night to put on waffles and it was delicious! The whole family were practically licking our plates clean. I cannot wait to try it on vanilla ice cream!

DELICIOUS. I added a few grates of fresh nutmeg and a bit of cloves. I used the syrup to top some caramel pear tartlets. This is definitely a keeper.

This syrup was wonderful!!! We all loved it-even my 2 year old!! I wouldn't change a thing! It was a nice change from traditional maple syrup. We served it over the Whole Wheat Pancakes from this site and it was terrific!

I agree with the bigger pot. This is an excellent syrup. It is easy to make and taste wonderful with vanilla pancakes. I like it because it doesn't taste heavy but delightful. We are making it for Sunday breakfast and Christmas breakfast.

I personally don't like syrup, but my husband liked this so much that he asked if he could have this all the time instead of buying syrup. He is very stingy with his five-star ratings, but this one definitely gets a five. Made just as described.

Yummy! What more can I say. I made this exactly as stated and it was good. I was a little thin, but after setting in the fridge a day it thickened up. I served with pancakes and my kids even dipped their apples in it. Then I used it at night for an icecream topper. Good!
