Unless you like the taste of evaporated milk I suggest you find another syrup recipe. Maybe whipping cream or half n half would improve the flavor but I wouldn't waste it imo.

Very simple for me to make with most ingredients I have on hand. I did add a little vanilla and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg. This is nice, although a little sweet. I think I like the Absolute Best Pancake Syrup just a little more. NOTE: Be careful. This syrup boils up fast. Be sure to watch it. This will thicken in the pot as it sits. Just let it rest for about twenty minutes or so off the burner.

This didn't work out well for me. The flavor was okay but the syrup was way too thin.

This syrup is sooooo good! We love it on pancakes, waffles and french toast. The boys have even drizzled it over vanilla ice cream. Very simple to make.

this was far to sweet by my families taste. I tried making it twice, once as the recipe says then a second time adding a pinch of salt and some vanilla. I think this might taste good as a base for an apple pie,but not a good syrup.

This Syrup was awsome. I was hestitant of the cream, but it is what makes so good. I used this syrup with the Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes from this site and it went together very well.I will use this again.

This is awesome! Made it for some pancakes today and it was wonderful. As funny as it may sound it reminds me and my family of "Disneyland" Churros! I did add a splash of vanilla. Even thinking of using this for a Chrismas gift with pancake mix. Thanks for sharing.

My only complaint was that this was very thin syrup, I served it over gingerbread waffles and it was fantastic. The flavor is very good, if it was thicker it would have been 5 stars!

My daughter does not like maple syrup. I was hoping this would be a good substitute. She really likes it. It is a bit sweet for me, but very good over all.

A cinch to put together and delicious with the pumpkin pancakes on this site. As always, I added more cinnamon than the recipe called for.

I was hesitant to try this recipe because I've never heard of evaporated milk, or any milk for that matter, in a syrup. However, I'm glad I didn't pass this one up. I loved it and so did everyone in the family. Thanks for sharing!

AMAZING!! I made this just as is and it were perfect. I served it on the Pumpkin Pancakes recipe found on this site and it was a match made in heaven. One suggestion: don't pour the syrup on the pancakes directly. Dip the pancakes in the syrup just before eating. The pancakes soak up the syrup so fast you don't taste it as much when you pour it on.
