My son loves anything cinnamon and was looking for a recipe for muffins with cinnamon chips. I substituted the cinnamon chips for the chocolate and he loved them. They won't last long.

My picky son ADORED these! They aren't very remniscent of Amish Friendship Bread but are lovely, light, fluffy muffins- w/o much sugar! I am always looking for recipes that have buttermilk and honey so this is definitely a keeper! I did substitute melted butter for the vegetable oil. Very good! Thanks for sharing!

I thought the texture of these muffins was perfect! Just like from the bakery. I used whole wheat flour and it worked great. I used coconut milk as someone else suggested. omitted the chocolate chips so the flavor was a bit bland, nothing that a tiny bit more salt and some sugar wont cure. I added a simple strussel topping and that helped alot. Heres the recpie if you need one. 1/4 cup brown sugar 3 tablespoons flour 2 tablespoons butter mix well, then add 1/3 cup chopped walnuts sprinkle over muffin batter, and bake. Thanks for the recipe. I will definitely make these again.

These are perfectly delicious as written. I tossed my mini chocolate chips right into the flour so they were coated and wouldn't sink to the bottom of the muffins. They are very moist and delicious. If yours aren't moist, you either over-mixed them or over-baked them! My kids couldn't keep their hand off them!

My 4 yr old loved these! I made them into mini muffins, and he ate almost the whole batch in one afternoon. I used half a.p. flour, half w.w. flour and added some cinnamon chips. He has already asked me when I'm going to make them again. Thanks!

When I saw it was modeled after Amish friendship bread I hadhigh hopes. I wouldn't say it compares to that. I needed some plain cinnamon muffins for my son's class. I left out the chocolate chips as these were supposed to be a morning snack and not so much a dessert. The batter tasted wonderful, but the muffins are not very moist. They are cake like, but you would normally frost a cake. They taste fine and the kids ate them, I was just hoping for something almost as moist as Amish friendship bread and these aren't even close. I will have to try modifying the recipe to improve that.

this is great. very moist and flavorful. The only additions i made were adding raisins. I used coconut milk because i didn't have buttermilk.
