Cinnamon Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 tablespoons strong brewed coffee
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • confectioners' sugar

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the sugar, butter and coffee. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, cinnamon, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the sugar mixture and mix well. Stir in walnuts.
  2. Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean (do not overbake). Cool on a wire rack. Dust with confectioners' sugar.
