i think this recipe is full of good ideas but isn't quite right. i used fresh onion with the garlic and sauteed it in 2 tbl of butter. i then put my flounder in a baking dish and seasoned the fillets with salt, pepper, cumin, & half of the cilantro. i topped it all off with the onion mixture and half a squeezed lime. cover, baked it. when finished i topped it with the remaining cilantro and squeezed the rest of the lime on top. not perfect, but getting there!

I thought it was very bland. I could taste the cilantro but that was it, otherwise very boring. :(

This was alright - I probably made about 1 pound of fish and cooked it for 30 minutes which was too long. Though it was a bit over-cooked I thought the flavor was alright - I used 1 lemon and 1 lime, a shallot instead of minced dried onion, and extra cilantro both before cooking and after. Not sure if I'd make this again - maybe if I adjusted the cooking time since I liked the ease of preparation.

I think I used too much lime because mine turned out VERY bitter...I also didn't have cumin so I just left it out of the recipe. I think it might have been better with the cumin and less lime but i doubt I'll try it again.

I am on a restricted diet and omitted the butter, doubled the lemon instead of lime and used the cilantro at the end. YUM!

Easy, quick. Boyfriend, who doesn't like cilantro, love this dish to my surprise.

Prior to baking the cod, I sprinkled it with a generous pinch of lemon pepper, and let it sit for a couple of hours. I didn't bother softening the onions and garlic - I just diced them super-finely, and threw them in along side the fish in the foil. If I were to make this again, I would open the foil packet for the last 15 minutes of cook-time. Thanks!

It was very easy to make. Nice yummy flavors. I did what other reviewers suggested by added the cilantro and more lemon juice the last 5 minutes of cooking. Thank you for sharing! :)

I thought this was good. I replaced the cod with red snapper. I decided to follow the recipe by adding the lime and cilantro prior to cooking, as directed. I certainly could taste the flavors but held some raw behind in case I needed to sprinkle after cooking. I also realized I was out of fresh garlic so instead I used chopped shallots and garlic powder in the topping. The only thing I would change for next time is to take the rind off the lime before putting it on the fish. It caused kind of a bitter taste but without the rind it would be perfect.

Really yummy, but I agree with putting the cilantro on after cooking. Margarine isn't necessary. I actually used fresh halibut in place of the cod, and cut the cooking time in half .. turned out absolutely fabulous! Thank you!!

The fish was very tender and flavorful. I didn't have any cumin, but I did not miss it. Great recipe for healthy fish.

This recipe has potential but I would definitely make some changes. I agree with the person who said that she would use the cilantro after the fish was baked. The cilantro completely loses it's flavor which takes away from the dish. I would avoid using the cumin. It did nothing for the dish. Last, use lemons instead of limes. The lime taste does not taste right with the fish.

We really enjoyed this, but next time I think I'll make a few changes. I was intrigued by the flavor combinations, but the lime & cilantro flavors got lost in the cooking process. Next time I will try to put them on fresh after baking. Also, I only did 2 fillets, so the fish was overcooked. I will probably only cook 20 minutes next time.

This was very tastey. I didn't have any limes on hand so I used about 1 tsp of lime juice on each fish. I will be making this again.
