I made this dish tonight and it was fantastic! I added a half teaspoon of cayenne to give it a kick and it tasted heavenly. I served with roasted red potatoes which complimented the cod just fine.

I was hesitant to make this recipe given some of the reviews. I'm thinking that for those who indicated a bitter taste it might be that their garlic was either old or cooked too long. The lime imparted a subtle tartness but not to the exten that it was overwhelming or bitter. I made this exactly as stated w/ the exception I added a pinch of salt, and used real butter. I chose to use cilantro and flounder.

It's probably just me but ... the dish really didn't do it for me (and I was looking for something different to do with cod). Cleanup was easy, the recipe was easy but it didn't tell me to leave the peel on the lime or off (I took it off). Didn't tell me if I was suppose to eat the lime/garlic/onion mix or scrape it off before eating (I tried it, then scrapped it off - lime taste/flavor way too strong with it on). I won't be doing this one again. But yes, the fish was very moist (how are you suppose to tell if it's flaky when it's wrapped in foil?).

Didn't like this at all. The lime was just way to over powering. Very bitter. And I would suggest opening the foil up for the last 5 minutes or so otherwise its kind of mushy. Won't be making this again

I am not a big fish eater, actually can't stand it. I don't know why? My fam is so I made them their fish and used this recipe with boneless skinless chicken breasts instead. I love spice so I also put some sliced jalapeno on top, and squeezed in some extra lime. It was to die for!!!! Will make again and again!!!

I thought this was ok, nothing special. I think dipping it in the oil and butter and then putting breadcrumbs on it to give it a crunch might be better.

We really liked the taste. I will try it without the foil next time but I will make it again.

I made this with the cod fish. My family would not eat it. The lime when you cook it gets really really sour and soaks into the fish giving it a very wierd flavor. I would not recommend making this recipe for a group of people until you try it yourself first.
