INGREDIENTS
1 medium onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 pints half-and-half cream
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed New England clam chowder, undiluted
3 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 (8 ounce) package imitation crab meat, flaked

DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. Add cream and canned chowder; bring to a boil. Stir in the potatoes, salt and pepper. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Stir in crab and heat through.

I don't usually try recipes that haven't been rated/reviewed yet, but I'm glad I tried this one! Very tasty for such a quick, easy recipe. My husband and father ate 3 servings!! I added 1/4 cup chopped parsley in at the end for some color and freshness.

It was great,easy to make,great for a cold winter day! The only thing I did was add a little more potatoes to make it chunkier as well as a little flour to make it thinck cause we love it chunky! Will definently be making it again! Thanks!!

I made this with fat free half and half and doubled the amount of imitation crab meat. My husband loved it. It came together very quickly. I served it with grilled ham and cheese sandwiches to round out the meal.
