Amazing soup! Leftovers were great the next day by adding milk and popping it in the microwave. I put bacon in it, next time I think we'll try ham.

this recipe was very easy to make and i added some small pieces of ham, which everyone enjoyed. i plan on making this soup for an appetitzer for upcoming holiday parties!

Wow that was awesome! I did not measure anything. I added extra of everything. I didn't have butter so I used vergetable oil. I was afraid It would taste oily, so I added about1/4 cup sour cream to compensate for the absence of buttery flavor. I also dodn't have suisse cheese, so I added mozza-cheddar cheese. The kids absolutely looooved it, and so did I! Thank so much for that fabulous, delicious and easy recipe!

Loved it! Added some corn and smoked sausage to it, plus a few dashes of hot sauce! Yummy! Instead of just the milk/flour mixture, I used one can of evaporated milk. Quick and delicious comfort food. Will make again.

This is the best potato soup I've ever had. The Swiss cheese is a nice addition. I didn't have celery or onion, but it didn't need it.

I made this on the first cold day of the season and my family loved it! I left out the butter the cheese and added some sausage and frozen corn. Slightly healthier but still yummy!!!

Delicious. Made mostly as is, but didn't mash the potatoes any and was out of carrots, but I usually always put carrots in my potato soup. Everyone loved it and several asked for the recipe. I took it to work on a cold autumn day.

Simple, easy, and oh so good!! I loved it and will be making it again for sure! I do not like onions, so I left those out and used preshredded carrots to save a little time!

Great tasting! The vegetable mix needs to be simmered longer or they need to be boiled for about five extra minutes so they are tender enough. This is a favorite potato soup recipe.

Loved it! I used a mixture of red & white potatoes cause that's what I had. I was out of celery and used cheddar instead of swiss because it's what I had on hand. The flavour was great and the soup was very easy to prepare...my favorite kind of recipe!

This is a great recipe! I used red potatoes, left out the onion and celery, and I added some onion powder. Also, I did not have fresh parsley so I used some dried and added dill weed and cayenne. I used swiss cheese, but substituted some with cheddar. This would be great with bacon on top. Thank you for this recipe!

I thought this soup was rather tasty and definitely comfort food. I left out the onions due to allergies and kept the skins on my potatoes for added nutrition. I also had to add more broth to cover all the potatoes but I probably had too many. I also used a mexican blend cheese since I needed to use it up, although I'm sure it would be great with the swiss. I'll definitely be making this one again!

This soup is excellent! I've already made it several times! I did make a few adjustments to the recipe: added frozen corn; more carrots (2-3 worth); added fresh or powdered garlic; also I used two strips of bacon which I chopped up and cooked, and then added to the soup. I've also never used Swiss cheese; usually I use either cheddar or a 3 cheese blend. Always tastes fabulous!

Really creamy and flavorful soup! I did a few things differently. I sauteed my onion and celery in a little butter for extra softness before adding to the potatoes and broth. I also shredded my carrots for a little different texture. I also added real bacon bits. The only cheese I had was a couple of Kraft cheese slices so that's what I threw in along with some sour cream right before taking it off the heat.

Excellent potato soup! I followed the directions exactly except I left out the pepper and cheese. (The last time I made soup, I put in the recommended amount of pepper and was told it was too much, so I left the pepper up to each person's taste.) This soup is good enough without the cheese, but I will try it with the swiss cheese and also with cheddar. Next time, I'll also cut the onion in bigger chunks as the smaller pieces I cut this time dissolved completely. This recipe is definitely a keeper! =^..^=
