I'm happy when as the first reviewer of a recipe I can give it a great review because I loved it! This is one of the best cookies I've come across in a long time. It's name just doesn't do it justice - this is so much more than a mere peanut butter cookie! I would strongly suggest resisting any temptation to tinker with this recipe in any way by changing things or leaving things out. The peanut butter, oatmeal, chocolate chips, raisins, peanuts and coconut each play a role, and the combination is something difficult to describe other than to say these are decadently delicious! Soft and chewy, with an unusual but pleasant contrast between sweet and salty. Other than adding a teaspoon of vanilla I made these as written and wouldn't change a thing. Normally I give away the things I bake, but hubs and I both agree these cookies are staying home!
